For an element in this series of UBCD programs using the pmagic core, it would probably be (or better still needed) to use

Code: select all

COM32 /boot/syslinux/linux.c32 /pmagic/bzImage

/pmagic/bzImage

” instead of using “

Kernel boot entry in Syslinux.

I never understand why this change is necessary?

What's the difference between them?

1_ The "KERNEL" keyword in Syslinux configuration files is more general. Its behavior depends on the kernel file format. For illustrative purposes, to load linux kernels using the "*file.bin" extension, "KERNEL" MUST NOT be used as a single-person keyword. Use "LINUX" instead.

2_ cost Second, positive relevant case. In Syslinux 4.06 (and earlier), linux.c32 can load (more than) many fat Linux kernels (such as those used in PMagic). an expert on booting new kernels, I'd say the included linux.c32 module is in the included Syslinux 4.06 (used using ubcd prefversion 5.2), Linux is still in development, so there are usually times when it can fail. That being said, I highly recommend anything used for pmagic kernels, as this original PMagic distribution is already using house (and has been using it for a long time).

what does it mean to only display the file?

In Syslinux, DISPLAY files are computers' "help text" that can be displayed before any boot prompts or F1-F12 keystrokes (among other options).

Instead of (or in addition to) using many types of shutdown options, the main shutdown menu could have an activation screen (help text in the DISPLAY file) that would provide the user with all the options available at the same time in the stress test, including explanations for each "boot cheat" code." Contains

ubcd are some examples of DISPLAY files. F1and "F2" for pmagic, UBCD starts at mealtime. Even pmagic has some, of course, with their own content. DBAN and memtest86 4.1.0 (included with 5 ubcd.) 2b3 have DISPLAY appropriate layouts. There are several ways to display their content, and the above examples use different variations.

I guess because of Viktor I should wait until I first install the new Stress-like tools and then I can try to find a small number of possible DISPLAY files to set,

ultimate boot cd kernel panic

To get these programs into UBCD using the pmagic kernel, it's almost certain (even desirable that it's necessary) that you use

Code: select all

COM32 /boot/syslinux/linux.c32 /pmagic/bzImage

is actually using the one in /pmagic/bzImage

” “

The kernel uses the Syslinux boot entry.

For most integrations of these into UBCD sentences using the pmagic core, it would probably be best (or always necessary) to use /pmagic/bzImage

COM32

ultimate boot cd kernel panic
kernel /boot/syslinux/linux.c32 /pmagic/bzImage

This problem

After successfully installing a Linux distribution on a private multi-boot computer. It first appeared like this:

Of course my initial instinct was to boot from which, ubcd honestly worked fine, when I tried to boot PartedMagic the kernel went berserk and quoted "Out of memory" and "No processes to kill" (that's ridiculous, it collected 2048MB).

It looks something like this (copied and shared with others on this computer, possibly with typos):

As I already said, there will probably be more than enough memory, the same main CD worked perfectly the day before. So I have to try again, with different settings, but with roughly the same approximate result. I tried another copy of your CD but to no avail. Finally, try an older copy, 5 ubcd.0.1, and it worked great!

What I have understood so far is:The problem I had with the hard drive was an endless loop of extended partitions, and this could be a potential memory leak. If I split the hard drives or combine another one, it works fine. I also note that there are only five ubcd.1.1 PartedMagic 6.6 ships with kernel 3.0, and UBCD 5.0. has 1 previous PartedMagic 4.1 product with kernel 2.6.32.11. — (?) an extremely important difference.

I understand that this is usually an issue with PartedMagic, not UBCD per pueden, and I'll push it upstream even if neither of you have anything to offer.

I don't really need to help with this, I'm just marketing to let you know about a potentially incredible issue. Thanks for the tool! wonderful Keep it up!
